The Explorer Street South Eveleigh public housing rezoning proposal is on exhibition until Friday 1 December extended from 17 November 2023. The area proposed for redevelopment includes social housing dwellings on Explorer Street, Station Place and Aurora Place, but not nearby properties in Rowley Street, which are managed by Bridge Housing. Use of Innovation Plaza as external Brewdog pub seating – Exhibition until 20 January
The approval for permanent use of Innovation Plaza for this use is currently on exhibition as a State Significant Development Modification (Mod 11) for the Locomotive Workshops rather than a DA through Council. The long term use proposal is on exhibition until January Friday 20 January 2023.

Large Erecting Shop rezoning proposal Exhibition until 24 Nov 2022
The Department of Planning and Environment have a rezoning proposal for the Large Erecting Shop (LES) on exhibition now until 24 November. This exhibition is about changing the planning controls that apply to this site prior to what is proposed to be a State Significant Development Application (SSDA) that will deal with the detailed design. REDWatch only learnt about this exhibition on 4 November evening and it was supposed to end 10th November. REDWatch has not had time to dig into all the documents. Make a Waterloo South Submission by 29 April 2022
Members of the Community are encouraged to make a submission on the Waterloo South Planning Proposal. In doing so it is important that they respond to what is actually on exhibition rather than to the lower density proposal indicated by the support material circulated as part of the exhibition.

Metro Quarter Draft Master Plan Information Session - Wed 30th May 5-8pm Redfern Town Hall
This is an opportunity to comment on the proposed master plan for the Waterloo Metro Quarter before it is finalised and submitted for formal exhibition. The Metro Quarter will be integrated with the new Waterloo Sydney Metro Station and will encompass a new Metro Station and over station development, including new homes (including social and affordable housing), shops, community health services / community services and a new public / community plaza (concept only image) with an adjoining community building. The Metro Quarter Precinct is bounded by Botany Road, Cope Street, Raglan and Wellington Street. The Metro Quarter will be delivered ahead of the wider Waterloo Estate redevelopment and aims to be completed by 2022 before the trains are expected in 2024.

Waterloo Metro Heritage Viewing - 10 Feb 2018
A heritage viewing of the Metro Waterloo site is being held on Saturday 10 February between 2pm and 4pm. Their heritage consultant will be present to describe the finds and answer any questions. Interested parties need to RSVP to info@sydneymetro2.com.au as spaces are limited.

Sydney Uni has responded to the 2011 Exhibition with a changed proposal which is now on exhibition. The Project Application is to develop a new educational precinct within the site bounded by Abercrombie Street, Codrington Street, Darlington Street and Golden Grove Street. Currently the Department website provides no details of when the proposal goes off exhibition.
