SUMMARY:Young people & the Law with Greg Smith - A SSH Forum - Factory Nov 1
DTSTART:20111101T230000Z
DTEND:20111102T010000Z
DESCRIPTION:Ninety per cent of young people in juvenile justice centre
s have at least one psychological disorder and 40 per cent have been i
n out-of-home care.\nOn average they left school under the age of 15.
Perhaps most concerning of all is that about half the young people in
juvenile justice custody are Aboriginal\, despite only making up about
four per cent of the population. Changes to the State's juvenile just
ice system will require political will and community support. Your con
 tribution matters.
