- Ninety per cent of young people in juvenile justice centres have at least one psychological disorder and 40 per cent have been in out-of-home care. On average they left school under the age of 15. Perhaps most concerning of all is that about half the young people in juvenile justice custody are Aboriginal, despite only making up about four per cent of the population. Changes to the State's juvenile justice system will require political will and community support. Your contribution matters.

- Each workshop will be a hands-on planning process, in which residents, planners, stakeholders, landowners and others will collaborate on ideas for the Preliminary Masterplan. HNSW Workshops will be held on Wednesday 23 November 2011 about Redfern and on Thursday 24 November 2011 about Waterloo. For each suburb there will be a choice of two workshop times - from 9.30-3.30 or 6.00-8.30. All sessions will be held at Redfern Town Hall. Ring HNSW on 9268 3443 for more details.
