REDWatch Monthly Meeting - Housing NSW - Planning Mixed Development in Redfern Waterloo Aug 05, 2010 from 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM Factory Community Centre, 67 Raglan St Waterloo,
At this months meeting we will be joined by Housing NSW for an update on their proposal for the Master Planning for the redevelopment of Redfern and Waterloo public housing. This will be followed by a discussion of what issues have been encountered in other mixed housing developments and what will need to be done to avoid such problkems here.

For the last two years, the Waterloo NAB has being piloting a new framework of engagement; this was achieved through the establishment of four thematic Action Groups. The time has come to review the progress of this new framework and celebrate the successes, and look at the lessons learnt and plan together for the framework which will take us through the next two years. So we invite all Residents and Agencies to come along and hear the reports of the action groups and help us to set the vision for the coming two years. Lunch provided

The Coloured Digger 2 Exhibition at Damien Minton Gallery runs from Wednesday to Saturday from 23 April until 10 May 2008 in Honour Recognition and Respect for Indigenous Servicemen and Service Women. 'The Coloured Digger' exhibition is coordinated with the Crossroads Aboriginal Ministry, Redfern and Babana Aboriginal Men's Group, Redfern. The exhibition is open wed to sat 11am – 6pm at Damien Minton Gallery 61–63 Great Buckingham St Redfern.

The RWA’s Plans for the redevelopment of the North Eveleigh Railyards has just gone on public exhibition – you can see details at www.redfernwaterloo.com.au. RWA CEO Robert Domm has agreed to a Darlington Business Briefing at 4pm on Thursday 8 May. This follows an earlier meeting with Darlington businesses about RWA plans for the area also organised by the South Sydney Herald and the Darlington Chapter of the Redfern Waterloo Chamber of Commerce. All businesses in Darlington and the broader Redfern Waterloo area welcome to attend this special briefing.
