The City of Sydney is organising a Community Consultation on the future of the North Eveleigh Precinct. The Council will address concerns raised in its submission on the RWA's concept plan for the site including planning and traffic concerns. There will be also a presentation by Sydney University of their interest in the site as detailed in their current 2020 Masterplan.

Inner West Film Fanatics will screen the 16 mm print of NINGLA A-NA, (1972, 72 min) at the Petersham Bowling Club on Tuesday June 24th at 7.00 p.m. In 1972 at the peak of Aboriginal political militancy in Australia, two Italian brothers, Allessandro and Fabio Cavadini, made a film called ‘Ningla-a-Na’ about the 'Aboriginal Embassy' demonstrations in Sydney and Canberra that year.

From the 1st to the 5th of July, the Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Cooperative in Leichhardt will host an inspiring exhibition by artists such as the winners of the 2007 Telstra National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Award recipients Dennis Nona and Alick Tipoti. Other artists include David Bosun, textile artist Rosie Barkus, Aicey Zaro, Eddie Nona, Lisa Sorbie Martin as well as a display of contemporary artefacts. Selected artists will be on hand throughout the week to talk about their work including a ‘yarn time’ with Nancia Guivarra and Dennis Nona discussing his Telstra award winning sculpture, ‘Ubirikubiri”. Music, dance and story telling sessions are also part of the program.
