DESCRIPTION:The New RedWater Community Markets will be held on the 3rd
  Saturday of each month at Redfern Park. The Second Market will be hel
 d on Saturday 17th October 2009 at Redfern Park and held between 8am a
 nd 4pm.\nThese community markets are sponsored by the City of Sydney a
 s part of a local community action plan and are organised by the Housi
 ng communities Program (HCP) at the Factory Community Centre in partne
 rship with Surry Hills Neighborhood Centre and others. All monies rais
 ed from the stallholder fees for the markets are injected back into su
 pporting local environmental community projects such as the Waterloo R
 ecycling Workshop.\n \n\nAs the market is part of local community acti
 on on climate change the focuses of the market (not exclusively) is on
  sustainable goods which are handmade\, recycled\, or second hand\, an
 d are environmental friendly. This is to assist in the reduction of wa
 ste strategies of the City Council. However all goods sold must be of 
 reasonably high quality.
