Quick Waterloo Tree and public domain Study!

We have been advised that consultants will:

1) Complete a visual study of the trees and photograph each tree within the public domain throughout the Waterloo Estate and

2) Survey and take photographs of the public domain, ie streets and public spaces between buildings. 

These activities will feed into the public domain and urban design studies.

Please note that they will take photographs of trees, buildings and landscape only. They will not take photos of residents.

REDWatch Comment:

Concerns have been raised with REDWatch that work is being undertaken prior to the the scope of studies being made public and the community having an opportunity to respond to the scopes. LAHC have previously undertaken that the community would have the opportunity to comment on the scope of studies.

LAHC have also assured community that the delay in the declaration of the State Significant Precinct (SSP) would also see an orderly movement into the master planning.

It appears that while LAHC has pushed back their community engagement in line with the delay that this has not flowed through to consultants employed by UrbanGrowth to undertake the master plan.

REDWatch will raise these concerns with LAHC and UrbanGrowth.
