BETTER WAYS TO DEAL WITH ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR IN REDFERN WATERLOO

Do you want to talk to people about Problem Behaviour in your area?

We are trying to collect information from the community about their experience of problem behaviour in Redfern and Waterloo. We are doing this to try and get a change in the way problem behaviour is being handled by Housing NSW and others in the community.

To collect information we need people, preferably from within the community, who are interested in talking to others about these issues and in writing down the comments people make.

If you are interested in being involved we will be offering some training and support and hopefully you will learn some new skills in collecting information.

This project is being run a group is made up of residents, community groups, academics and some government services. It is not run by Housing NSW.

The group hopes that the research will:

  • Provide community input to inform the Master Planning and Renewal Process for Redfern Waterloo

  • Involve the community in positive change (e.g. using the findings as the basis of a pilot project based on recommendations made by the community)

  • Hold a forum where residents present the findings and recommendations to key government agencies on how they can work with and support the community on positive change.

How can I be involved?

Come along to an introductory workshop to learn more about the project and how you can become involved.
