It is not for posting media release files it is only for the media release text. A small photo or graphic can be added. In the opening Paragraph please include something like "writes [agency name] in their media release of [date including year]" so the source is plain to readers in the Media Articles. The short name of the article should be the date of the media release in reverse order followed by letters for your agency eg 090630redwatch. If you have more that one media release with the same date add an extra letter. Your agency takes full responsibility for everything posted under your user name.

Inner West Film Fanatics will screen the 16 mm print of NINGLA A-NA, (1972, 72 min) at the Petersham Bowling Club on Tuesday June 24th at 7.00 p.m. In 1972 at the peak of Aboriginal political militancy in Australia, two Italian brothers, Allessandro and Fabio Cavadini, made a film called ‘Ningla-a-Na’ about the 'Aboriginal Embassy' demonstrations in Sydney and Canberra that year.

From the 1st to the 5th of July, the Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Cooperative in Leichhardt will host an inspiring exhibition by artists such as the winners of the 2007 Telstra National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Award recipients Dennis Nona and Alick Tipoti. Other artists include David Bosun, textile artist Rosie Barkus, Aicey Zaro, Eddie Nona, Lisa Sorbie Martin as well as a display of contemporary artefacts. Selected artists will be on hand throughout the week to talk about their work including a ‘yarn time’ with Nancia Guivarra and Dennis Nona discussing his Telstra award winning sculpture, ‘Ubirikubiri”. Music, dance and story telling sessions are also part of the program.

On the 1st of July every year, Torres Strait Islanders acknowledge the 1871 arrival of Christianity on Erub Island in the Torres Strait. In Sydney this year there will be much more than going to church and feasting. Acknowledging that July One or its Creole equivalent, ‘Zulai 1’ is no longer restricted to celebrating Christianity, the Lagaw Kodo Mir Torres Strait Islander Resource and Culture Centre NSW, with the support of the Australia Council for the Arts, have organised a week long exhibition of high profile Islander artists and performances. The week of festivities will culminate with an Ecumenical service and feasting on Sunday 6th July at the Redfern Town Hall. TIME TO BE CONFIRMED

The presentation of the books will follow a traditional dance performed by children that attend The Yurungai Learning Centre.
