REDWatch Monthly Meeting - Community Facilities & Services Roundtable - 1 Mar 2012
The March REDWatch Meeting will focus on Community Facilities & Services - challenges now and in the future. In 2011 the RWA started a Community Facilities Review but this was not complete and has become part of the Social Impact Assessment Scoping being done by the SMDA. This meet will provide an opportunity for the issues from the perspective of both service users and service providers to be explored.

One of REDWatch's concerns about the initial Facilities Review was that it only talked to service providers and there was no component that sort input from service users and residents. The first section of the round table will provide an opportunity for service users and residents to raise their concerns.
The second section will enable service providers to raise the issues that they confront in delivering facilities and services.
It is hoped the round table will help to get some of the complexity that should be incorporated in a Community Facilities & Services review on the table so it can be followed up by REDWatch and other organisations in the consultation processes.
