The proposals affect how development, including coal seam gas and mining, is assessed. The proposed changes affect merit appeal rights for communities, requirements to carrying out environmental studies and protections for public health, water and the environment.

Executive Member of the Nature Conservation Council of NSW James Ryan will discuss what the changes will mean for local communities, and let you know how you can make a submission on these important changes to the way planning is carried out in NSW.

To RSVP for this FREE community information session, please contact the Nature Conservation Council on (02) 9516 1488 or policy@nccnsw.org.au

To find out how you can make a submission to the Green Paper before 14 September 2012 visit nccnsw.org.au/campaigns/planning and download a copy of the submission guide.
