Sydney Uni Campus Improvement Plan 2020 Information Session - Wed 19 March 5–7pm

Sydney Uni's plans for new buildings on its campus including a number on the Darlington Campus are in their Campus Improvement Plan 2014-2020. The proposal for approval in principle of these developments was initially on exhibition for a short period - until the end of February. The University has now said it will consult with the community until the end of March and the Department of Planning and Infrastructure will accept submissions for a short period after the end of February. Three additional Information sessions are being held by the University - this is one of them. Submissions with any concerns from members of the community should be raised with the Universiuty and also made in writing to the Department of Planning.

Planning for our future Campus Improvement Program 2014–20 - consultation period extended to 31 March 2014

The University of Sydney has lodged a proposal with Planning and Infrastructure that aims to improve cultural, recreational, research and educational facilities for our students, staff and the wider community.

What is the Campus Improvement Program?
The Campus Improvement Program (CIP) is a seven-year plan for the construction of new buildings, infrastructure and publicly accessible areas for our Camperdown/Darlington Campus. The program was lodged with Planning and Infrastructure, which placed it on exhibition for public comment for 30 days, from 29 January to 28 February 2014. This is in keeping with the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

COMMUNITY CONSULTATION
The University is extending its consultation period until 31 March 2014 to provide the local community with more information on the CIP. This will enable the University to respond to all comments and ideas we receive during the extended consultation period, and submissions we have received from Planning and Infrastructure through the statutory exhibition period. We have advised the agency of our intention to keep working with the community during this extended period.

FIND OUT MORE
You can find printed copies of the CIP and display panels of the major proposals in the foyer of the Services Building (G12), 22 Codrington Street, Darlington, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
