Planning Changes - What it means to You! - 23 October 7.30pm
The State Government recently published a “discussion” paper for changes to planning controls across NSW. This will replace planning legislation that has long underpinned the State’s planning controls. If approved, the changes fast track economic development across the inner city and are likely to result in overdevelopment in your neighbourhood. While reform is needed, the changes have been condemned as pro-developer and remove the wider public from the process. Notably, even ICAC have raised concerns!

REDWatch Monthly Meeting - Housing NSW - Planning Mixed Development in Redfern Waterloo
At this months meeting we will be joined by Housing NSW for an update on their proposal for the Master Planning for the redevelopment of Redfern and Waterloo public housing. This will be followed by a discussion of what issues have been encountered in other mixed housing developments and what will need to be done to avoid such problkems here.

Waterloo Neighbour Advisory Board Action Group Bi-annual Review - The Gathering Event 2
For the last two years, the Waterloo NAB has being piloting a new framework of engagement; this was achieved through the establishment of four thematic Action Groups. The time has come to review the progress of this new framework and celebrate the successes, and look at the lessons learnt and plan together for the framework which will take us through the next two years. So we invite all Residents and Agencies to come along and hear the reports of the action groups and help us to set the vision for the coming two years. Lunch provided
