Council and LAHC present on Waterloo and Redfern – 6pm Thursday 9 July at REDWatch meeting

Please note that there will be no REDWatch meeting on Thursday 2 July. The REDWatch meeting has been moved back one week.

With Council releasing a site plan for Waterloo and Council’s planning proposal for the Redfern Build-to-Rent (this is the site containing the PCYC site) being finalised by Council tonight, it is possible to have a wider discussion about these LAHC and Council plans.

REDWatch has invited both Council and LAHC to present on these projects. We have delayed the July REDWatch meeting by a week until 6pm Thursday 9 July to accommodate Council and LAHC. The meeting will cover:

  • Elizabeth Street – what has been approved for community consultation
  • Waterloo South – background to the current Planning Proposal request

To accommodate public housing tenants who are unable to participate via Zoom we are going to try and run this meeting as a hybrid. Those who can join via Zoom should do so and can ontain a link by contacting mail@redwatch.org.au.

If you cannot join via Zoom then you will be able to book to join the meeting from The Factory. To do this we will need everyone who wants to come to The Factory to book as there is a limited number of spaces. You can book by emailing either mail@redwatch.org.au or wrcd@counterpointcs.org.au or by phoning / asking at The Factory to be added to the list of attendees.

Social distancing is to be practiced and if you are unwell on the night, please do not attend.
