Top Chef Kylie Kwong Cooks Up Chinese New Year Cuisine at Eveleigh Market

Renowned Australian Chinese Chef Kylie Kwong will demonstrate some of her culinary delights to the public on Saturday 20th February at the Eveleigh Farmers’ Market, where she will cook up several dishes to celebrate Chinese New Year reports this media statement from Eveleigh Markets on 3 February 2010.

“The dishes will be a surprise,” Kylie said, “but no Chinese New Year feast would be complete without duck.”

The cooking demonstration by Kylie Kwong will run from 10am-10:45am. Kylie will be using fresh produce from stallholders at the Eveleigh Farmers’ Market.

“I love Eveleigh Farmers’ Market commitment to the promotion of sustainable living and ethical eating, and I feel very at home being surrounded by the abundance of fresh locally grown food and passionate producers,” she said.

Kylie Kwong is a passionate advocator for the sustainable food movement and serves only locally grown, organic and bio dynamic produce in her Sydney restaurant Billy Kwong.

The Eveleigh Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday from 8am to 1pm and offers the best of fresh produce directly from the farmer or producer in a captivating heritage setting, the old Blacksmith Workshops.

Eveleigh Market is located at 243 Wilson Street, Darlington and is proudly operated by the Australian Technology Park.
