Clover Moore Letter to Minister Frank Sartor over Eveleigh Blacksmith Workshop

The letter below was written by Clover Moore MP to Minister responsible for Redfern Waterloo Frank Sartor on 6th June 2008. The letter asks the Minister to "Could you please review the decision to evict Wrought Artworks, consider alternative arrangements to maintain this workshop and inform me what action you will take?". National Trust Moves to Save ATP's functioning Blacksmith's Shop

In this letter from the Trust in support of the re-nomination of the Large Erecting Shop for a National Listing. The National Trust advises the Federal Department that it will be nominating The blacksmith Shop for a National Listing and that thaey are seeking urgent action by the Minister to protect the site and retain the operation of the Blacksmith.

This letter from the Trust supports the re-nomination of the Large Erecting Shop for a National Listing. The LES was not given a listing in the last round although the Minister has asked his Department to take up the threat to the site with NSW Officials. This letter also raises the National Trust's concern about the RWA's proposed eviction of the Blacksmiths from the Blacksmith's Shop at the ATP and forshawods that the national TRust will now be seeking urgent action by the Minister to protect the site and retain the operation of the Blacksmith. Human Services Plan Text Comparison of Final with Draft

This is a text comparison between the Draft RWA Human Services Plan Phase 2 exhibited in October 2006 and the Final Human Services Plan Phase 2 released in July 2008. This comparison has been produced from a comparison programme. While it has been manually checked and some changes made to reflect changes of the order of some points in the HSP2 it should be taken as a guide only. It has been produced for those familiar with the draft Plan who wish to get a quick idea of where changes have been made in the final Plan. Please confirm and changes highlighted in the document by comparing the Draft and Final versions rather than rely on the total accuracy of this document, formatting in particular is likely to be lost in such a document comparison.. In this document Green text indicates additions to the text where Red strike through indicates deletions and Red Underlined indicates changed text. The file is MS Word 251 KB.

This is from the Conservation Management Plan 1995 Final draft, considered the last document.This is the document that the Minister of Planning refers to in his Determination of Consent. States "Bay 1 & 2 South to remain an operational workshop.....it is appropriate and desirable that a blacksmithing operation remains a long term feature of the site...the present operation is run by Guido Gouverneur, who is a sub-lessee of the site....". Redfern School site for ILC National Indigenous Development Centre

At a media conference at the former Redfern Public School the NSW and Federal governments announced that the ILC would proceed to purchase the site from the NSW Department of Education. The details of the media kit and that display boards at the media conference are available here.
NIDC Proposed Facility Operators and Tenants - 26th June 2008

This is the text of an ILC Handout from the Open Day held on 26th June 2008. It provides details of who the ILC proposes to Operate and use the site. The major change from previous statements is the replacement of the PCYC by the the YMCA as the operator of the Community Sports and Recreation Centre and the dropping of Murawina Child Care Centre from the proposed tenants.
