The ATP Gross Floor Area Map allocates total gross floor space to specific ATP sites. It is an alternative to the Floor space ratios and is necessary because they were not included in the wider RWA FSR Map. File is 158 kB.

Additional Permitted Uses

This map deals with Additional Permitted Uses on Railway lands. It specifically allows for a range of information and education facilities and rail infrastructure facilities on land shown. The intent was to allow uuses for the Large Erecting Shop that would permit its use for some Rail Heritage and public access uses subject to Development Application. THe SEPP says “Despite any other provision of this Policy, a person may, with development consent, carry out development for the purposes of information and education facilities and rail infrastructure facilities on land shown hatched on the Additional Permitted Uses Map.” PDF 326 kB.

Rail Corridor Expansion

On 12 July 2013 the NSW Government called for expressions of interest for the renewal of the railway line corridor between Central Station and Eveleigh. The future of the North Eveleigh Concept Plan and the RWA's Built Environment Plan Controls will be reassessed as part of the process. Here we have gathered information about the initial proposal and will add information on subsequent developments.

In February 2012, the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) released a report “Anti Corruption Safeguards and the NSW Planning System” (the Report) that identified six corruption prevention safeguards that would reduce the frequency of corruption if integrated into the NSW planning system. Ivy and Lander Streets New traffic Island - Until 13 May 2013

In January 2013 the City consulted with you in relation to traffic changes that were proposed as part of the Abercrombie Street upgrade between the Lawson Street and Shepherd Street intersection in order to receive some feedback on the changes to improve safety and pedestrian amenity in the area. Following this consultation with the community and the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) the following changes have been proposed to further improve safety and pedestrian amenity in these areas.

This is the UrgbanGrowth Development Corporation integrated development application for the staged construction of a Local Park and Pocket Park in the north western part of the North Eveleigh Precinct, works include pedestrian links to Wilson St, furniture, terracing and associated retaining walls, community garden, landscaping, reuse of heritage elements, addition to the Blacksmiths Workshop and stormwater and demolition works. This is a state significant development for alterations and additions to the two existing TNT / GCA towers (while maintaining the existing building) and construction of additional levels to form an 18 storey mixed use development comprising retail / commercial and residential uses; retention of the NSW Police tenancy; basement car parking; retention of existing allocated parking; and public domain works. Exhibition Closes 30 April 2013.
Metro Strategy Community Forum - Pyrmont

The Department of Planning & Infrastructure are holding two community forums to discuss Sydney's future and how the draft Metropolitan Strategy for Sydney can better meet the community's needs. The forums are being held on the morning and afternoon of 22 June 2013. The Draft Metropolitan Strategy is on exhibition until 28 June 2013.

REDWatch launched a Change.org petition on 3 June 2013 asking the Minister for Planning to "Please Exhibit Metro Strategy for Sydney under the New Planning System!". The details of the Petition and the link to the online petition can be found below. The comments made by people signing the petition also provide a good indication of people's concern about the continuing exhibition.
