Inquiry into Overcoming Indigenous Disadvantage 2008

In 2007 the Standing Committtee on Social Issues of the Legislative Council anounced an "Inquiry into Overcoming Indigenous Disadvantage". The terms of reference allow the Inquiry to investigate the outcome of earlier Inquiries dealing with aboriginal issues which brings the 2004 "Inquiry into Issues relating to Redfern & Waterloo" under the tems of reference. Submissions close on 31st March 2008 and we have collected material relevant to Redfern Waterloo on this section of the site.

Overcoming Indigenous disadvantage Inquiry - Redfern/Waterloo Case Study
“The need to improve communication between government and Aboriginal communities has been starkly apparent throughout the whole of this Inquiry, and is evident in the example of previous recommendations relating to the Needle Exchange in Redfern.
