Local Government Seeks Election Commitments on Planning
NSW councils will press candidates standing for the 2007 State election to support a number of reforms to significantly improve the transparency and accountability of the current planning system in NSW. Football lands in Redfern
This year Police and Community Youth Clubs NSW will establish for the first time a new PCYC Football Club based at Redfern. With the aim of re-establishing pathways for children and young people in through sports, PCYC has in the last two years built the largest network of futsal (indoor soccer) competitions across New South Wales. Friends of Eveleigh write to Minister
The Friends of Eveleigh (FOE) have heard that the eight heritage carriages are now scheduled to be moved from the Large Erecting Shop to Thirlmere on Tuesday 16th January 2007 after the morning peak. FOE have written to Ministers concerning the carriages as the move will see the carriages leave enclosed storage at Eveleigh and go to a site that has no storage for them. A copy of the letter to the Minister for Transport has been provided by FOE and has been reproduced below.
