Every school in the City of Sydney local government area and the Youth Services in Redfern and Waterloo were invited to enter the competition.

The Premier congratulated all those schools and youth centres that entered the competition and also thanked all the young people for their magnificent work in creating the banners.

“We have decided that the competition will become an Eveleigh Markets Christmas tradition and will be run each year”.

The winning entry and the People’s Choice Award receive $1000 each with the runner up getting $500.
