Here are some details of the public housing heritage in the area including a booklet on Matavai and Turanga when they were built and a self guided heritage walk.

Did you know that every floor of Matavai and Turanga was fitted out differently in commemeration of Capain Cook. This 28 page booklet documents the themes and artifacts that were provided for each floor in this state of the art development.
Waterloo Walk
This is a copy of a one and a half hour walking tour of the historic suburb of Waterloo produced by the Department of Housing in 1988. While it includes some of the consolidated estate it primarily covers the Waterloo heritage housing.

This presentation was given to the REDWatch Forum on 6 July 2017 by Vivienne Milligan. It provides an overview of the origins and history of public housing in NSW and some indication of where it might be going.
