Eveleigh - After Urban Growth Indicative Built Form

This is a screen shot from Chanel 9 news on 7 March 2014 announcing UrbanGrowth NSW was taking responsibility for developments between Central and Parramatta. The presentation showed a fly through of the Eveleigh portion of Central to Eveleigh before and after "Indicative Built Form". This is the after shot. if you download both photos and flick back wards and forwards you can see some of the changes including in the city skyline being contemplated in this "Indicative Built Form".

Sydney Uni's plans for new buildings on its campus including a number on the Darlington Campus are in their Campus Improvement Plan 2014-2020. The proposal for approval in principal of these developments is on exhibition for a very short period - until the end of February. Three Information sessions are being held by the University - this is one of them. Submissions with any concerns from members of the community must be made in writing by the end of February to the Department of Planning.

This is the flyer produced by Sydney Uni to promote consultation on their Campus Improvement Program (CIP) which provides a seven‑year plan for the construction of new buildings, infrastructure and accessible public domains four Camperdown/Darlington Campus. This is the flyer prepared for the Exhibition of the State Significant Development proposal exhibition. It details the community information sessions on Wednesday 5 February, 5–7pm; Saturday 8 February, 2–4pm & Saturday 15 February, 11am–1pm and an end Febuary cutoff for submissions.

REDWatch Roundtable on Housing Inquiry - 6pm Tursday 6th Feb

Lift to be built for Redfern Station

Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian today announced a lift would be built to Redfern Station platforms 6 and 7, making the station accessible to customers in wheelchairs and parents with prams for the first time reports this media release of by Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian on 31st January 2014.
Redfern Waterloo Heritage Taskforce Final Report 2011

The Redfern Waterloo Heritage Taskforce was established to report by March 2011, the end of the Keneally Gopvernment's term. This is the final report of the RWHT. The RWHT recomended that there should be an ongoing mechanism for Heritage Co-ordination around the former Eveleigh Railway Workshops. Attempts are still being made to re-establish such a heritage co-ordination mechanism. File is 143 KB PDF.

Options for Redfern station upgrade

The South Sydney Herald has also obtained the documents released by RailCorp to Lift Redfern regarding “information relating to planned upgrades at Redfern Train Station”. The documents show the various plans for redevelopment, from the mid 2000s until about 2010, including one favoured by RailCorp for which construction was planned to start in July 2011. Sandra Beeston reports on the documents in the November 2013 issue of the SSH.
