ALP - Marrickville - Letter to Darlington & Redfern
Dear
Getting Results for Darlington & Redfern
Since Darlington and Redfern have become part of the electorate of Marrickville, I have been working hard to get results for our local community.
In recent times, the Morris lemma Government has been able to:
- lower class sizes and increase enrolments at our local public schools
- establish the $49 million new performing arts centre at the CarriageWorks in Eveleigh
- develop a new pedestrian and cycle link between North Eveleigh and the Technology Park
- open a new Eveleigh training centre including Yaama Dhinawan Indigenous hospitality training
There is more work to do. As part of the Morris lemma Government, I will:
- fight to protect local workers and families from John Howard's extreme industrial relations laws
- expand local water recycling and storm water harvesting projects, including rebates for local residents who install solar hot water and rain water tanks
- provide every public school with an interactive whiteboard & video conferencing facilities
- continue to work hard to improve local train and bus services
Across NSW, the main contest this Saturday is between a lemma Labor Government committed to improving services, or a Peter Debnam Government that will sack 20,000 public sector workers, devastating frontline services.
Identifying problems is the easy part of politics. Marrickville needs a representative able to make decisions and not just protest. I can make a difference and deliver real solutions for our local community.
I ask for your number 1 vote to continue as a strong voice in Government
Yours sincerely
Carmel
