RWA Legislation

The RWA is set up under the Redfern Waterloo Authority Act 2004 which sets out its objects and powers.

The RWA Act was amended by section 7.14 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Amendment (Infrastructure and Other Planning Reform) Act 2005 No 43 which can also be found at the above site.

The State Significant areas of Redfern-Waterloo were defined following the reforms to NSW Planning System announced on May 12th. A special Supplement of the Government Gazette (number 60) has been issued entitled the State Environment Planning Policy (State Significant Development) 2005 under the EPA Act 1979. This SEPP can be downloaded from Special Supplement No 60 of 25 May 2005. The RWA map is on page 43.
