- Waterloo Draft Consultation Map and Zones
- Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) presented a draft map to the Waterloo Redevelopment Group (WRG) on 19 July 2017. The map sets out the area to be consulted widely as well as the area for more intense consultation. The initial map also had light blue lines that link parts of the Waterloo Estate to adjoining areas this denoted that this area will be notified of a precinct meeting that will bring public housing tenants and surrounding residents together for a visioning session. There will also be visioning sessions for Aboriginal groups, Russian & Chinese language speakers and for youth.
- REDWatch submission on Ongoing mechanisms for Heritage Co-ordination across the Former Eveleigh Railyard Precinct
- This is the text of a submission made to UrbanGrowth Central to Eveleigh on 19 June 2019 about ongoing mechanisms for heritage co-ordination across the former Eveleigh rail yard precinct. Discussions between UrbanGrowth Central to Eveleigh and the Heritage Office on this topic became apparent when it was referred to in development conditions for Mirvac's ATP development in 2016. These discussions are ongoing and UrbanGrowth is also in discussions with landowners across the former rail yards.

- Waterloo Estate Social Sustainability Assessment
- A Social Sustainability Assessment is one of the key studies for the Waterloo Estate under the Waterloo State Significant Precinct Study requirements. Here we have bought together information about the study requirements and about GHD the consultancy doing the work. In 2012 GHD did some scoping work of Redfern and Waterloo Public Housing Estates for the Sydney Metropolitan Development Corporation (SMDA).
- Waterloo State Significant Precinct (SSP) Studies and Consultants
- NSW Planning and Environment have posted details of the studies required for the Waterloo State Significant Precinct, Land and Housing Corporation has posted a summary of these requirements and information about how and by whom the studies will be undertaken. In addition there have been two sessions in which there has been verbal clarification on some of the study issues. Here we have bought the information on studies as of 2 June 2017 together in one place.
- Waterloo Master Plan Site Visits from 29 May to 2 June 2017
- LAHC has provided details of consultants working on master plan studies that will on Waterloo Estate during the week 29 May to 2 June 2017. These are provided below.
- Council's Role in the Waterloo SSP and the Project Review Panel
- According to the Precinct Declaration The Department of Planning and Environment has established a Project Review Panel for the Nominated State Significant Precinct - Waterloo. It also provides some information alongside the initial announcement that gives us information about the City of Sydney Council role.
- Quick Waterloo Tree and public domain Study!
- Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) have advised that there will be master plan consultants on Waterloo Estate on Friday 25 and 26 May 2017.
- Quick Waterloo Traffic Study!
- Land and Housing Corporation advised that a quick Traffic Study was being undertaken on Tuesday 23 May 2017. The traffic study will be measuring current traffic levels – vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle of the greater Waterloo area.
- Initial Waterloo State Significant Precinct Declaration Details
- Following the State Significant Precinct declaration for Waterloo on 18 May 2017 additional information was placed on both the NSW Planning and Environment's website and on the Communities Plus website. REDWatch provided the following initial unpacking of the declaration announcement to members, supporters and agencies on 21 May 2016.
- Waterloo Nominated as State Significant Precinct kicks off Master Planning
- Waterloo has been nominated by the NSW Government as a new State Significant Precinct which formally kicks off the master planning of the site. Residents have been advised by staff involved in the master planning that the master planning will commence with a month of capacity building with consultation workshops planned to commence towards the end of June/beginning of July. The Communities Plus website will be updated soon as the Department of Planning and Environment’s website. A newsletter to residents is planned for next week.

- Kira Osborne and Thomas Chailloux recently started work to independently resource tenants and the broader community during planning for the Waterloo redevelopment reports Geoff Turnbull in the April 2017 edition of the South Sydney Herald.
- Building a platform of opportunity for Redfern/waterloo redevelopment
- On 2nd March 2017 REDWatch held a session on Health Impacts and redevelopment – what do we need to know? The input to this session was provided by Elizabeth Harris, an Associate Professor in the Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity at the University of NSW and Director of the Health Equity Research and Development Unit, Sydney Local Health District.
