Description of proposal
The Proponent is seeking to amend the Height of Buildings Map (Schedule 3 of the State Environmental Planning 'Policy (Major Projects) 2005) specifically relating to the land bounded by Redfern, Regent, Margaret, and Gibbons Streets within the Redfern town centre. In summary the changes involve:
- Reducing the street-wall/podium heights from 5 storeys to 2-3 storeys
- Reducing the setbacks of the tower building element to the street edge: Regent Street - setback of 8m (reduced from 16m); other streets bounding the town centre - setback of 4m (reduced from 8m).
Exhibition
The proposal will be on public exhibition from 1 July 2009 until 3 August 2009 during regular business hours, at:
- Department of Planning, Information Centre, 23-33 Bridge Street, Sydney;
- City of Sydney Council, Town Hall House, 456 Kent Street Sydney and
- Redfern Service Centre, 158 Redfern Street, Redfern (also open on Saturday between 9am to 12 noon)
