Review of Tourism in NSW - Some Submissions concerning Eveleigh
Mr John O’Neill AO undertook a Review of Tourism in NSW on behalf of the NSW Government in mid 2007. Some submissions were made to this review were made which made reference to the importance of maintaining Eveleigh as part of the States Heritage rail infrastructure. We have been provided with some of these submissions and have posted them here.

Freinds of Eveleigh Submission to Review of Tourism in NSW July 2007
- In their submission to the NSW Tourism Review Friends of Eveleigh have spelt out their vision for how the Large Errecting Shop could continue as a functional Heritage Railway Workshop servicing rail heritage throughout the state while at the same time providing a tourist destination for public access into the "Large" to view heritage rail items and the operations of the Shop. REDWatch Submission to Review of Tourism in NSW July 2007
- Below is the text of the REDWatch submission to the Review of Tourism in NSW in July 2007. REDWatch requests the Review to "recommend a detailed study of the potential for heritage rail tourism in NSW and into the role that Eveleigh’s Large Erecting Shop can play in that strategy if it is retained by the NSW Office of Rail Heritage."

Rail Tram & Bus Union Submission to Review of Tourism in NSW July 2007
- The following submission was made to the Review of Tourism in NSW by the Rail Tram & Bus Union. The submission recommends "NSW Tourism has a role to play in researching and identifying details of the railway heritage and cultural tourism assets and providing an overview which adds to an understanding of unlocking the potential value of these assets to tourism and the NSW economy".
