RWA Add for Urban Renewal, Planning and Administration Professionals - July 2005

The following advertisement appeared in July 2005 seeking applications for a number of RWA positions connected to urban renewal and Planning. This add and the associated Position Descriptions provided an early indication of how the RWA was approaching urgan renewal and planning.

Redfern-Waterloo Authority

The Redfern-Waterloo Authority is seeking talented and committed professionals in the areas of Urban Renewal, Planning and Administration.

The RWA is a NSW Government statutory authority that was established on 17 January 2005 to facilitate the revitalisation of Redfern Waterloo, Eveleigh and Darlington through urban renewal, improved human services, enterprise and job creation. The following exciting opportunities are available:

Principal Project Manager, Urban Renewal

The RWA will be embarking on a major building program at the Australian Technology Park and at other strategic urban renewal locations. Reporting to the Director, Urban Renewal, the Principal Project Manager will be expected to initiate, plan and direct complex urban renewal projects for the RWA, to ensure appropriate development to meet the economic, social and other urban renewal objectives of the RWA and the Australian Technology Park.

Total remuneration package valued to $130,293 ($109,577 - $118,073) including superannuation and leave loading.   

Senior Project Manager, Urban Renewal

Working with the Principal Project Manager, the Senior Project Manager will be expected to plan and implement varied urban renewal projects for the RWA, to ensure appropriate development to meet the economic, social and other urban renewal objectives of the RWA and the Australian Technology Park.

Total remuneration package valued to $108,066 ($84,678 - $97,931) including superannuation and leave loading.

Planning Manager

The Planning Manager will manage and guide the delivery of planning outcomes to meet the objectives of the RWA. Reporting to the Director, Planning, the Planning Manager will manage the development assessment and approval functions of the Authority in accordance with statutory administrative requirements and functions, including the management of consultants and contractors; and contribute to the development of a strategic planning framework for Redfern-Waterloo.

Total remuneration package valued to $108,066 ($84,678 -$97,931) including superannuation and leave loading.

Planner

We're seeking a highly capable professional able to contribute to the delivery of planning outcomes which will assist the revitalisation of this precinct. The Planner will assess development proposals, prepare reports related to the administration of a range of development applications; and provide statutory planning advice to ensure compliance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, regulations and relevant instruments and policies.

Total remuneration package valued to $78,452 ($64,227-$71,094) including superannuation and leave loading.

Administrative Assistant - Planning Systems

The Administrative Assistant - Planning Systems will provide a range of administrative and clerical assistance to the planning team, including the operation of a development assessment system, consultant tendering system and maintenance of the RWA's property information systems.

Total remuneration package valued to $57,848 ($47,877-$52,423) including superannuation and leave loading.

Office Manager

We're seeking an experienced, hands-on professional to manage the RWA's administrative staff and to oversee all systems and services required in a growing office. The Office Manager will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer:

Total remuneration package valued to $89,030 ($73,212 - $80,680) including superannuation and leave loading.

Administrative Assistant -Receptionist

The Administrative Assistant- Receptionist is responsible for the efficient operation of the RWA reception, including meeting room booking facilities, preparing basic correspondence, issuing stores and providing administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and other staff as required.

Total remuneration package valued to $51,374 ($42,825 - $46,556) including superannuation and leave loading.
