MacDonaldtown Stabling Yards

As part of the NSW Government's Rail Clearways Program, the Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation (TIDC) is proposing to construct a train stabling facility for eight trains at Macdonaldtown. While this is within the RWA State Significant Area it predates the current RWA development approval proceedures and is not being handled by the RWA. It has been included here as it is a development within the RWA State Significant boundary being undertaken by Government which has attracted significant community concern.
Monitoring Construction
It is important for residents to now monitor compliance with the Rules of Construction and report any breaches to TIDC’s 24 hour Construction Response line 1800 775 465.

This is a February 2006 update. Following the TIDC consultation TIDC has appointed a precinct manager responsible for the project.
No Stabling Yards Macdonaldtown Residents Group - 15.12.2005
A Residents Action Group calling itself No Stabling Yards Macdonaldtown has formed out of concern about the project. The following information was extractred from a leaflet circulated through the area to encourage submissions to the community consultation. The consultation was originally to end on 2nd December 2005 and was extended to 14th December 2005.

Letter Regarding removal of trees without permission
The following letter was written by Macdonaldtown Residents Group in protest at TIDC / Leightons claiming to have approval to remopve mature trees and then removing the trees near Macdonaldtown station without approval.
